Filmed at the old Bardon 7-11 in Brisbane, the scene of many a late-night munchie attack. Sometimes the best clips are the simplest. As for the song, this is a pop treasure that will kick arse in another ten years time. And ten after that. Love the harmonies, middle eight and use of dynamics.

This kind of left-of-centre experimental music found a home in Brisbane and on 4ZZZ back in the way early 1990s. The He Dark Age is a collaboration between Paul Newsome and Tony Milner, who’ve come from a long line of Brisbane groups dating back to the late 1970s. Actually, you might just want to go check out uddichschmuddich because he knows way more about this stuff than I do. I was pretty drunk at the time.

What’s this then? I have no idea what this song is called, but Dreamkillers are like cockroaches. No matter how many times people try to crush them, they always come back for more. The Dreamkillers history is a long and twisted one with wreckage all around, but what matters most is brutal passion.
